The Green Clay of Velay is composed of elements resulting from the mechanical and chemical degradation of pre-existing rocks (in particular feldspars). The clay banks are located in the sediments deposited by the alteration of the rocks since the Tertiary era, at the foot of the volcanoes of Auvergne.
The Green Clay of Velay is a natural mineral of aluminum silicate type laminated (phyllosilicates). It is a unique clay because naturally composed of a mixture of 3 clays with properties and complementary virtues (mainly composed of disordered illite, montmorillonite, then kaolinite).
Moreover, it does not contain quartz. This clay mineral with 3 layers and without fiber has a high covering power. The moisture content - from 4 to 6% - is extremely low, thanks to an innovative drying technique. Clay helps to effectively alleviate and relieve rheumatic pains. It is adapted to soothe all joint pain and is effective against back pain. It is with this in mind that the various spa centers integrate the application of clay mud in the care they offer.
The Green Clay of Velay is unique in its composition, which differentiates it from other green clays. In fact, green clays are most often composed mainly of montmorillonite, illite or kaolinite. To this can be added a significant amount of quartz.
The Green Clay of Velay has this unique property of being composed of these three types of clay at a time, and of not containing quartz. Thus, besides being unique and of excellent quality, it is universal (that is to say adapted for many applications).
The Green Clay of Velay is extremely pure. Naturally rich in minerals and trace elements, Green Clay Velay is suitable for all skin types. In regular use, it has a very good rebalancing effect, stimulates natural defenses, purifies, gently cleanses, and restores radiance to the face. Possibility of associating the Green Clay of Velay with the benefits of plants or essential and vegetable oils, its efficiency will be increased tenfold.
The Green Clay of Velay is 100% natural but can not receive the "Organic" label as a mineral. However it is verified by ECO-CERT (control of the products by our internal laboratory and in collaboration with accredited laboratories, namely heavy metals, PBC, dioxins, silica.)
